Southern Hospitality.

Many of you may not know, but I am originally from the south. My mother's side of the family is from Alabama, and my father's side of the family is from Illinois. Well long story short, I miss my southern roots. I was born in Tuscaloosa, AL and I just LOVE the south. Everything is really better, the food, the weather, the scenery, I could go on all day. Recently I made a visit down south to the well known city of HOTlanta, GA, or more formally known as Atlanta.

Seriously, I can not begin to describe the love that I have gained for this city after only being there 3 times. I fell in love the very first day I went back in Feb. 2011. Just from the shopping to the eating to the people, the weather....MY GOODNESS! I had on shorts in Feb. But the best part about ATL is the night life!!! I met so many people, from some of my fav YT subbies to celebs.

I just want to teleport back.....like yesterday.

DIY- Shoulder Cut Out Shirt

So as I was going through my old button up shirts one day, I found a shirt that I got from the thrift store a while back. I seriously never wore this shirt.....so as I always do, I thought of another way to revive it. So I decided to cut out the shoulders of the shirt to turn it into something a little more edgy.

The finished product above, I didn't actually make a video of what I did but I got the idea from one of my fav YT vloggers and will post the video below!!!

Here was the process:

What I Wore.....

The weather in IL is def warming up....but it's still a tad bit chilly out here in the Midwest. So the other day while I was helping my friend with a project for his Photojournalism class I decided to take a few snap shots of myself. It was a beautiful day on Eastern Illinois University's campus, so why not.

Don't mind my face, the sun was shining right on me.

Coco&&Breezy: A Night of Fashion

So earlier this semester a modeling group at my school (ENT Models), where my friend Toni Porter is the founder of, had a fashion show and the up and coming celebrity accessory designers "Coco&&Breezy" were the hosts. If you guys don't already know who Coco&&Breezy are, Coco and Breezy are 20-year-old identical twin accessory designers from Minneapolis, Minnesota. to find out more about them, click  HERE

I had the pleasure and honor of being able to interview the lovely, down-to-earth twins. It was a great feeling and also just an uplifting moment for myself. Here I am interviewing someone who is around the same age as I am, but they actually made up in their mind that it was THEIR time and packed up from where they were and making that big move to NYC, leaving the past behind them. Coco&&Breezy have  a unique story as to why they started their line with Sunglasses. I was very intrigued while interviewing
these 2.
My interview with C&&B was exciting and conversational, these 2 were amazing people to talk to and just all around dope!!!
Of course I had my Handy Dandy iPhone with me, but I also brought my Canon:

My lovely Co-Host that night, Francelle, this woman was working her tush off trying to keep the eager crowd under control, love her, she's amazing!

My Poetic Justice Braids...

So if any of you guys follow me on YouTube, Twitter, or Instagram you know that I recently had some braids in my hair that kind of resemble the braids that Janet Jackson wore in the movie "Poetic Justice". Mine were a lot smaller than the ones she had and a little longer, but you get the relation. The street name for these braids are "box braids".
They were about 26 inches long and took me about 12 hours to install them. With help from my sister and cousin we knocked it out. I will say if you want to do this hair style you should def have someone help you.

Here is my YT video talking about my braids, with helpful tips.

As always,

Til Death Do Us Part....

Introducing Mr.&Mrs. Jefferson
So last year, my friend's old roommate got married and I was invited, so I brought my camera of course and took a few pics. This was my first YOUNG wedding I've ever been to. They were both 22 years old I believe. ....that's just a few months older than I am (sheesh). Anywho, the wedding was amazing...and I'm So Happy for Destiny and Anton Jefferson!

After the wedding I showed them the pics that I took during their wedding, and They absolutely loved them, Destiny wished she would have contacted me to actually take the pics for the wedding.

AWOKE.

Sitting in my bed right now at 6:48am, I decided that I should update my blog. I know it has been a WHILE and I really have no excuse, but A LOT of things have taken place in my life since my last post, which was forever ago. Anywho, I have not been taking many pictures recently, since I have been getting in tune with other talents I have discovered. I have always been the "creative" type of person, but lately my creative juices have been really flowing. I'm not sure why, but I'm glad about it.
I have become #TeamiPhone, no more BlackBerry for this chick, although I miss it at times.... I love my White 4S. I have become an avid user of my iPhone, it is safe to say that at times I can become quite obsessed. I also have become an Instagram user. IG, is by far my favorite app on my phone for tons of reasons. Other than the fact that it turns your already beautiful pics into something amazing, it also offers tons of Networking opportunities. I have met so many meaningful people through that app. Also, it allows my work to be showcased to others. I use IG now for social and professional reasons, but I believe I may begin to use it for business purposes only.
I am going to try and catch you guys up with my  life day by day over the next few weeks....so my post will be quite random, until I can get you guys back on track. So Enjoy, and stay Wrighteous.

KONY 2012

People Please take 30 mins out of your day to watch the powerful and amazing video on the Joseph Kony issue! I couldn't believe the things that I have not been aware of, it is a shame when I realize how blinded we are by the world that it takes something as drastic as this to get America on One Accord and finally do something about this issue, after the first five minutes of this video, I was a believer and a supporter. I, myself one day plan on having children and pray that injustice will die FOREVER.
